Oh to be blonde!

The other day my neighbor, who is blonde, came running up to me in the driveway just jumping for joy! I didn't know why she was jumping for joy but I thought, what the heck, and I started jumping up and down along with her. She said, " I have some really great news!" I said, "Great. Tell me why you're so happy." She stopped jumping and, breathing heavily from all the jumping up and down, told me that she was pregnant! I knew that she had been trying for a while so I told her, "That's great! I couldn't be happier for you!"
Then she said, "There's more."
I asked, "What do you mean 'more'?"
She said, "Well, we are not having just one baby. We are going to have TWINS!"
Amazed at how she could know so soon after getting pregnant, I asked her how she knew. She said....
"Well, that was the easy part. I went to Wal-Mart and they actually had a home pregnancy kit in a twin-pack. And both tests came out positive!"

What a day!

I expected Tuesday when I got back from vacation to be the day from you know where. It was actually quite uneventful. Everything went very smoothly. I thought...hey...I can go on vacation and have no negative implications when I get back. WRONG! Today was the day. I don't know if the jet lag caught up with me or what because I just could not do anything right...anything! I had to apologize to my boss several times. Everything I was asked to do was done...just not in the way I wanted it to be done. I usually have my ducks in a row and can't stand it when things do not go as they should. At least I think I have it under control now and tomorrow should be better. I promised Kym her assistant would actually be back in the office tomorrow..lol!

Where does time go?

I can't believe that it has been so long since my last update. My apologies. So much has happened in the last month. Most of them have not happened at home...I can't remember the last time I have stayed home for any extended period of time...so of course the Christmas tree is still up. My goal is to have it down by the end of February.

So much has happened in the past month...I have been to California...twice...just got back from vacation...more on that below. I have been bungee jumping...phew...what a rush! Work is busier than ever...but busy means good...business coming in keeps us in a job! In fact there are possible career opportunities that may be presenting themselves soon...keep your fingers crossed.

I just got back from spending last week with my Aunt Lisa and family in California. We had an awesome time! At least I had an awesome time...guess I shouldn't speak for the them. Of course, I know my cousin Chelsea had a great time. She adores me! :)

Of course, I did find out one sobering fact while I was there. I am old!!!! Chel and I were walking through Target one day and apparently one of her friends saw us. The next day at school the friend approached Chelsea and told her that she saw her and her dad in Target the day before. Her Dad. HER DAD!!!! Do I really look old enough to be the father of a 14 year old. Wow. That was an eye opener.

I had Monday off...which was great...because I needed it to try to recover from the jet lag....I say try...because I am still trying. I did venture out to the mall and found a heck of a deal at Penney's. I bought 7 half zip sweaters and 3 casual blazers for $40.00. Can you believe it....$40.00. The receipt showed my savings as $492.00. I got over $500.00 worth of clothes for $40.00. I am still excited about that one!

Anyway, that is the last couple of weeks in a nutshell. I will try to keep my posting more current. No trips currently scheduled for a couple weeks....we'll see how that goes!

President Bush is a phreaker!

To start the year, I bought myself a 365 New Words A Year calendar in an attempt to broaden my vocabulary.

Today's word is "phreaker". The definition is "one who gains illegal access to the telephone system".

The calendar gives a sentence to follow the definition. I have a sentence that I prefer though in light of current events. See below.
