Dr. Dennis Boe
I don't know how many of my friends from ECU read this blog but I received a text on Wednesday with the horrible news that one of my professors from East Central had passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack on Tuesday. Dr. Boe was a great man. He was one of the first people I met at East Central and did many things with Dr. Boe throughout my career at East Central. Not only was he my private piano professor but also as director of the ECU Honors Program we worked together often. ECU and the Ada community has lost a great man! Please pray with me for his family as this unexpected loss happened during the beginning of the holiday season. His obituary from the Ada Evening News is below:

Almost There!
Woke up to some good news today...I had lost two more pounds. I really don't know how because I have been eating well as of late but I am not going to complain! 2 more to go and I will have lost 20. How cool is that!!!
Holiday Spirit!
I finally have the bug....I have the holiday spirit! The concert on Sunday did it. I am ready for the holidays. I went over to Rachel and Pam's last night and helped them decorate for Christmas. I have even decided to put my Christmas tree up in my room this year...I really miss my Christmas tree. My goal is to clean my room tonight so that I will have room to put it up....and for those of you who have never seen my room...it tends to get messy...so wish me luck!!!
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Wow...is all I can say about this concert! Rachel and I went to Charlotte on Sunday night to see this concert. It was awesome!!! A tradition has been born! I will be going to see this every year going forward if there is any way possible!!! The name is misleading. This was a Christmas show...but not your typical orchestra. They did have string section...but add with the string section....Electric Guitars...Drum Set...Electric Piano...Electric Bass. It was awesome!!! This was a rock show with the string section mixed in. It had a laser light show that would have made Pink Floyd jealous!! Add the vocals....another mixture of classical and rock...this was a show like nothing I have ever seen!!
What a great way to bring an orchestra experience to the masses!! Whether you prefer classical music or rock....this show had something for everyone!!!
Toshiba Rocks!
I have to give credit where credit is due. While Toshiba's outsourced company left much to be desired, Toshiba came up to bat and hit the ball out of the park. Not only did they replace my TiVo, they replaced it with a much better unit. When I called back last Thursday because the unit did not come with a remote, they told me I would receive it within 10 - 15 days. Not only did I receive it yesterday, they called today to follow-up with me! Great customer service. Their rivals should take watch because they will be highly recommended in the future!
Lost & TiVo - Two Posts For The Price Of One
I'm tired and lazy tonight so I am going to blog one post that should probably be two. Please forgive the faux pas. In my defense both of these happened yesterday so you could lump them into one post...but I digress!
When I got home last night I was more than happy to see that my new TiVo had arrived from Toshiba. After a little hassle, Toshiba agreed to send me a replacement. The hassle really wasn't Toshiba...they were more than great at helping me out...though their vendor who repairs the units sucks royally! The replacement they sent was much better than the unit I sent to be repaired. This one has a bigger hard drive and a CD burner installed. Awesome! Only one problem...they did not send a power cord or remote. Power cord...no big deal. I just got one off of another electronic device...I have so few....lol! Remote control....no big deal, I thought. Both units probably use the same one, right? Wrong. Called Toshiba back today. The remote should arrive at the latest in 10-15 days. Oh well, I really can't gripe as they sent me an awesome machine....I can't wait to use it!!!!
The other exciting part of my evening was Lost! It really was an awesome episode last night. Very well done! The episode took us day by day through the first 48 days (length of season one) of the crash victims that were in the tail of the plane. Many explanations were provided...though many were subtle...and you had to think back to the other episodes. I am convinced that if you watch the DVDs in sequence, a lot more is there that you don't observe when waiting a week between episodes. Of course, catching things you missed the first time doesn't hurt either. I can't wait for this weeks episode when both sets of survivors meet! It should be great!!!
Oh yeah, Thanksgiving is one week away! Have to go to bed early this time next week...so we can get up and go shopping early on Friday!
Can you believe that Thanksgiving is Next Week?
I can't!! This year has flown by! That coupled with the fact that it is still 80 degrees here...it just doesn't feel like it should be time for the holidays. I am starting to get in the Christmas spirit though...I bought two Christmas gifts yesterday!
Rev. Jackson calls T.O. punishment 'much too severe'
I wasn't going to post this joke I heard this weekend until I read this!
http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/football/nfl/11/13/owens.jackson.ap/index.html?cnn=yesJesse Jackson woke up one morning and to his distress found that from his neck up he was white.
This alarmed him tremendously as you can imagine.
He went straight to the doctor to find out what was wrong.
After some tests, the doctor came back with a jar and advised Jesse Jackson to drink all of it.
Jesse followed the doctors instructions but complained that it tasted like bullsh**.
The doctor said...it was...you were a quart low!!!
Deja Vu
Sitting at the airport....craving a peppermint white chocolate mocha from Starbucks....this post seems vaguely familiar. Sorry for the deja vu experience. I'm on my way home!
The Promised Post

This is a sign that was posted at my office. The consummate professional I am...I had to show all my co-workers and now the rest of the world! There had to be a better way to word this sign. The sign refers to loan documents for private investors...but I can just see someone sorting Xerox copies of various parts of the anatomy!
I'm so excited!

I'm so excited about this movie! We saw the stage show in NYC at the beginning of the year! Can't wait for Thanksgiving!
Predators

Uncle Dave took me to a Nashville Predators NHL Hockey Game tonight! Too Cool! I loved it! NHL Hockey is probably my new favorite sport to watch! Lots of fun!!! We won 3-1!!!
Thanks Uncle Dave and Aunt Robin!!!!!

Another Urinal Post

Ok....so I know that most people probably do not have one post about urinals....much less two....but someone e-mailed this to me today and I thought that it was too funny!
Sitting in the airport...
...waiting on the airplane....craving a peppermint white chocolate mocha from Starbucks! Cincinnati here I come...I know right where the Starbucks is in the airport!! I have a great post for you....though it may be Sunday before I can get it online. I took a picture of a sign someone posted at work today. Let's just say that the sign probably could have been worded a bit better. The suspense will be worth it....I promise!!!
Tim, Tracey, and Chloe are Coming!

Good Luck!!!
Prayer Request
It seems like several of my family and friends are having a variety of troubles right now. I will not single anyone out but I would like to request that my readers pray for the people that I am holding close to my heart. It is so difficult as we enter into what should be the most joyous time of year to hear of people having personal difficulties of any kind.
Flu Shot
I received the first flu shot of my life today. Our company was providing them for free...I guess the gained productivity is worth the cost of the vaccination. I hate needles. I hate needles. Did I mention that I hate needles? I sucked it up though because I really don't want to be sick this year. The shot was more painful than most I remember. I think I remember having about 3 in my whole life...so my comparison size is a little small....but I made it!
Look, I am finally growing up!
More fun than the Lite Brite page!
Thanks to Chel for this...virtual bubble wrap...will we ever be able to get anything prodcutive done again?

I think I am getting old!
Today was a busy day! I knew going in that it was going to be busy but man...it took it out of me! The liaisons had a dinner today at work. I had promised to bring taco stew...which got rave reviews! However, I had to get up early (8am...can you believe it) so that I could make it. When I got to work....we had lunch at 11:00am...remember I work 10-7 so lunch at 11 is a bit early! Then I had conference calls from 1 to 5:30 straight! I didn't know calls could take so much out of you. I had to come home and rest before running tonight!
It's almost the weekend!!!! Have a great Friday!!!
It's November!!!
