Five years later...

I got into the car this morning and when the radio began playing, the morning show I listen to was playing an excerpt from the September 11, 2001 broadcast. As I listened to the emotions of the people just realizing what was happening that day, tears began to flow. Even while typing this I get chills when I think about it. Five years later but just as real as it was that day. While I did not know anyone who lost their life that day, I did know people who lost people they cared about. I don't want to make a long drawn out post out of this....just wanted to take a moment to remember...

Did you see the pictorial People magazine is featuring? Babies of 9/11. Then and what they look like now....it will really make you cry. The article stated that now the children are old enough to ask about daddy and why is my daddy not here. Really gave me chills!!!!! It seems like yesterday yet when you look at those children you realize that it really has been awhile since the tragedy. The whole thing will always be fresh in my mind like it just happened.

I haven't wanted to watch the movie either. Five years is not enough - it has been 11 since the OKC bombing and wouldn't want to watch a movie about it either.
