800 numbers
I don't know if I posted this or not but a few months ago we sent out a letter trying to attract new customers to our company. The letter was great - except for the fact that when I typed the 800 number I didn't realize it was an 877 number. The 800 version of the number directed you to call another sexually explicit phone number. Talk about mortifying. At least I am not the only one with this problem. I feel their pain. See the story below.

This could be the most disgusting news story ever!

The weekend!
After all of the excitement the last two weeks, I was exhausted and I spent the whole weekend in bed. I have been fighting a cold for two weeks and I think the weekend has finally helped to rid me of it!
Have a great week everyone!

So my next stop
Chicago!
Chicago was a fun town. I left directly from Houston to go to Chicago - where I exited the airport still wearing my flip flops! Brrr!!! 30 degrees! Talk about a shock to the system.
We had dinner at Gibson's Steakhouse Sunday night. The meetings were great but the dinners were memorable. The next night we had dinner at The Capital Grille followed by Brazzaz (a Brazillian Steak House) the next night!
Chicago was a great town - I am headed back in a couple of weeks and hopefully will be more awake to enjoy the city!

Our monkey - the coolest towel animal we had!

Mardi Gras night! Are we having fun yet?

Have to post at least one drinking pic!

I love this pic!

Cheese!

Here lizard, lizard, lizard!

One more frog pic to add to the collection!

Margaritaville!

The Conquest.

Attractive, huh? My hair is too long!! Snorkeling in Grand Caymen.

The ruins!

Iguana's were everywhere at the ruins!

View outside the Mayan ruins.
The post you have been waiting for!
Well - I guess it is time to tell you about the cruise (before I forget...I'm getting old remember...combine that with the effects of the alcohol...well, I digress).
The cruise was absolutely awesome! We left Galveston on Sunday afternoon to stormy seas and miserable weather. We went on deck to watch the boat leave the port and we were on our way! We started the trip with the obligatory safety drill...you know in case the boat sank...we would all have our life jackets.
The next three days were spent at sea and were amazing! Spent time in the casino, lying on deck in the sun, wine tastings, an amazing piano bar with Damian, shopping, showsm and more!
Monday night was the first of two formal nights and the captain's dinner. It was great - except that I put my suit on (the suit I bought in March) and quickly realized that while it buttoned, it buttoned in the wrong place...the first button instead of the second. That sucks! It didn't stop me from eating though ;)
Tuesday night the boat was split into teams and we went barhopping with our teams before ending up on deck for the Mardi Gras party. I danced that night. Let me just say I don't dance. But enough drinks....any anyone can dance....I finally found out the secret.
Wednesday was spent into Montego Bay, Jamaica. It was great we climbed this massive waterfall and swam with dolphins. I will post pics with me and Calypso later. The two hour ride in the back of the bus going around the many curves was not my favorite part of the trip (especially if you reference what I was up to the previous night).
Thursday was spent in Grand Caymen. We started the day snorkeling on a coral reef. It was cool. I felt like a moron for the first five minutes. I freaked out when I jumped in the ocean even though I had a life jacket and a snorkle on. Every time I tried to put my face in the water in held my breath. I finally got it under control and it was amazing. I got to pet a stingray and a lobster. The fish were absolutely amazing!
We had worked up an appetite and had lunch at Margaritaville...yum! That night it was safe to say we were regulars at the piano bar. Damien knew us and the waitress was at my beck and call. Too much fun. It was like we had our own Cheers for a week.
Friday we docked in Cozumel and we decided to do something cultural by heading to the mainland and visiting the Mayan ruins. It was really awesom - and really hot! Next time I will be relaxing at the beach with a margarita!!
Saturday was another day at sea and we used it to recover from our vacation!!!
A cruise is the definite way to go! If you get a chance - make sure and go on one!!
So it totally sucks...
...that everyone else gets an extra hour of sleep tonight and I (as well as the rest of Arizona) do not. I made up for it by sleeping all day - so there!
Happy Saturday!

More to come
That brings us to the cruise - let me rest - this could be a long post or two ;)
Grandparents
From Vegas, I left to visit my Grandparents in Port Neches, TX (about 1.5 hours from Houston). My flight was delayed three hours in Vegas - at least the airport had free internet. We had a great visit - too short. That evening I found out that the valve stem on the front tire of the rental car had broken and couldn't be replaced - which made for a stressful morning as I had to drive to Galveston for my cruise - but it all worked out...thank goodness!
Vegas
So I started out my trip on a business trip in Vegas. It was good. I had a night in Vegas by myself. We stayed in the Suncoast casino about 10 min from the strip. It was really nice and had a decent price. The casino had a multi screen movie theatre, bowling alley, all the table games you wanted, and 12 different restaraunts. I had dinner at Senior Miguels, including a free margartia, and then proceeded to lose some $$ in the casino. Knowing my intenerary, I was a good boy and went to bed early. Man, I love Vegas!
The prodigal son returns...
...or something like that.
At any rate I am back and am going to try to get back in the habit of posting regularly again. It has been a long two and a half weeks. I have been so tired. I am doing nothing this weekend but resting.
Well, I have a lot to catch you up on. I started to write things down in a word document during my travels but I never did so I will try to remember the details though some regarding the cruise may be a little fuzzy (maybe a little too much alcohol).
Good to be back. Hope everyone is well!!
So I will be out of town for a couple of weeks!
I got to Vegas for work yesterday. From here, I am leaving to go to Houston to visit my grandparents before leaving for my cruise to Mexico for a week. After that, I go directly to Chicago for three days for work again. Whew - I will be glad to be home after all that. My posting may be irregular until I get to Chicago.
Have a great few weeks! Keep blogging!

Everybody Shop at Kohl's!
Kohl's won me over today. I love Kohl's anyway so it was not that hard to do...but the level of customer service is awesome. I received luggage last Christmas from Kohl's as a gift. After using the largest suitcase 3 or 4 times the handle stopped coming up which made using the suitcase difficult to say the least. The luggage had a warranty but the warranty said to take it back to the store with the receipt - which because it was a gift, I did not have. Kohl's exchanged the suitcase no questions asked. Awesome because I really didn't want to spend a couple hundred dollars on luggage this week.
Tell all your friends - shop at Kohl's!
OU - Texas Weekend!
Go Sooners!
Storming!
It is storming again tonight! Beautiful thunderstorms! Cold front coming in. Brrr - going to be in the 80s tomorrow!!
So I wasted three hours today...
I finally bit the bullet and went to the urgent care clinic today because of this sore throat. Turns out that was the biggest waste of three hours I have ever spent! I chose urgent care as I have not found a primary care doctor yet and this was something pretty routine. The co-pay is the same either way so I thought what the heck. The wait was bad enough. Then I failed the throat swab - I have a horrible gag reflex. The nurse told me that she had six year olds that do better - I had to give her that one. The PA came in looked at my throat briefly and then told me just a virus and to take vitamins. At least I knew it wasn't strep - that was my concern. Then before I left the nurse came out with a prescription - that the PA told me she wasn't giving me. I don't even think I will have it filled. If it is just a virus - there is no point to take antibiotics.
Some days you should just not get out of bed
This was one of those days. I knew this was going to be one of those days. I did not want to get up - mainly because I felt bad. Today was the day that I felt bad for so long that it finally made me grouchy (For the readers in the south, you can insert the word "ill" for grouchy. For everyone else, please forgive me for taking the time to translate).
I felt awful but had so much to do at work I had to go in. I literally had no choice - and because I was grouchy - everything irritated me.
Thank goodness I am home now - naptime!!!!

Monday night madness
Ok - I just watched last season's finale of Lost. Thank goodness there are only two nights until the premier. I can't wait!! I love this show!! If you haven't watched - get the first two seasons on dvd and catch up - you won't be able to stop!
Happy Monday!!!
Daniel comes to town and here comes the rain...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/15101589/In record amounts! When I moved to South Carolina, I was so excited because I was moving to the place it never snowed. It snowed the first day I arrived - the largest snow storm in years. I move to Tucson almost five years later and we have record rainfall the summer I arrive.
Does anyone else think this is strange?
This Sunday's Question - Just a little late...
Why do people who know the least know it the loudest?
D.H.
Not Designated Hitter - Desperate Housewives. It is back this season. I haven't laughed this much in a long time!
Relaxing my cold away
I rented the entire season of Lost last weekend (which was stupid - it cost almost as much as it would have to buy it - lesson learned) and didn't get to watch a lot of it. Since I wasn't feeling great today, I decided to get caught up. I have watched Lost all day today. I have made it completely through the 2nd season except for the season finale. Wow! I missed a lot. I could not believe it when Michael shot Ana Lucia and Libby - I can't wait to watch the final two hours and for the season premier this week. This show is awesome. I have to give it to the writers - it is equivalant to a book you can't put down - only it is going to be drawn out for seven years! To think - we are just starting year 3!
