Heading to the beach tomorrow!!!
I am heading to Myrtle Beach tomorrow for the holiday! I am going to visit family and friends and then stay to visit customers with our Southeast Regional Manager to prepare me for my new position.

A little color...
Everybody commented on how white the room was so I bought some throw pillows. I am still looking for a painting to go in the living room then it will have quite a bit of color!
Kitchen chairs to match. I acutally have six but have to store four of them!
I finally got my barstools!
I'm OLD
I had to call several of my friends yesterday and relay the bad news that they were old. I knew this because I was out running some errands and had to drive through the U of A campus as class was letting out. I thought that I could still hang with the college crowd...but these kids were babies!!! I hated to let my friends know they were old...but as I found out that I was old...and they are older than me...I felt that it was my duty!

Sunset
I wish I had my camera last night. We had the most awesome sunset. It is gorgeous out here at sunset - all kinds of pink and purple hues with the mountains in the foreground. Who says the desert isn't beautiful?

So I am sitting here this morning....
debating on if I am going to buy some more new furniture. I really need my barstools....and I really want this new bed. Together they are quite a lot of money. I also need a few more things...I am trying to be good and buy things as I go...not all at once. I did get my living room curtains up yesterday...they look really good if I do say so myself. I promise some pics later today.

Mobile blogging....
I'm going to have to figure out how to mobile blog from my cell phone and/or blackberry. I often think about something interesting or cool (of course all my writings are both interesting and cool, right? I'm Not Opinionated never has anything uninteresting to say!) but as I am aging I forget the item by the time I get home. Has this happened to any of my fellow bloggers??
Eclectic Dinners
I have been having eclectic dinners as of late. Last week I tried duck which was really great. Duck tastes like the dark meat of a turkey...which is my favorite part. Tonight I tried a buffalo steak wrapped in jalepeno bacon...wow...it was awesome!!
Take my advice...don't be afraid to try new things...you miss out on so much if you are!

I have a cool pic to post soon! When I got home tonight there were six lizards outside my window tonight...how cool is that!
Rude People!
I can't stand rude people! I am becoming more vocal about telling people about it. I was in the grocery store tonight. People were lined up everywhere! We had one line waiting on the self checkouts when some idiot (that is the nice word) broke in and took over one of the machines. I made a loud comment about rude people. I don't know at what point you confront someone. I don't want to fight but someone needs to teach these people some common courtesy.
Fifth time is the charm
Has anyone ever had a pleasant experience at the DMV? After my fifth trip....yes....my fifth trip....I finally was able to procure my Arizona driver's license and license plate. Every time I went, they gave me another piece of information...but not one person...or their website told me everything I had to do or needed to get what I needed accomplished. After waiting almost an hour an a half on the fifth try I finally got it! To give credit where credit is due, the dmv employee who processed my paperwork this afternoon was great. Friendly and told me everything I needed to know. If you ever move to Arizona, let me know. I will give you all the information that no one at the DMV will.

Arkansas
I went to Arkansas this weekend to visit my Grandpa. When I got there I received great news. My Grandpa had been diagnosed with cancer earlier in the year and the prognosis was not good. He found out just a couple of days before I got there that after many weeks of chemotherapy they can find no trace of the cancer! What great news!
I had a great time visiting with family that I don't get to see very often. I very much enjoyed it. The only thing that was remotely bad about the whole weekend was the fact that I had to get up at 3:30 am on Saturday to leave and get up at 4:45 am on Monday to come home! I went to bed at 7:30 pm last night and tried to catch up on my rest!
I have been told I have not been the world's most frequent poster as of late...I will try to do better!!!

Storms
Tucson is having their best storm season(or worst, depending on if you like storms I guess) since 1993. They are awesome. The lightning is almost indescribable. I went to On The Border last night and watched the storm, all the while eating dinner and enjoying a margarita or two! Tonight looks like it will bring some more of these awesome storms!
Sushi
Went out with some friends from work tonight...had sushi...yum....I am becoming quite fond of the stuff!
I got it!
I got my new furniture on Friday! This is not my apartment but it is my furniture. I got the couch, loveseat, chair, and ottoman. The loveseat is in my bedroom. It was too much for my current living room but I wanted to get it all now in case it was discontinued later. I love it! It is so comfortable. I will get pics taken of the apt very soon and let you see how my apt is coming along!
The weekend of the wedding!
I made it back from Oklahoma. The wedding was gorgeous. Congrats to Shan and Cody!!! The reception was awesome. We had a lot of fun...I even danced (read I had a couple of drinks because normally this white boy does not dance). I had lunch with Tena and Pearl before catching an airplane back to Tucson. The strangest thing about the weekend was that it was 104 in OKC last weekend and 81 in Tucson.
I bought my washer and dryer and living room furniture this week! I finally get clean clothes and wont have an empty living room. Woo hoo! I promise to get back to posting more regularly soon!! It has been crazy!
