One week away!
I went for my pre-op appt for my Lasek surgery today. My surgery is scheduled for next Thursday. I am soooo excited!The tech asked me if I wanted Valium today. I asked him if I needed it. He said in his opinion no that they prescribed it if you thought you would be nervous before and during the surgery. I told him no - I'm really not nervous at all. The surgery takes all of 55 seconds per eye on average.
My vision will be blurry for about 4-5 days. I am told the day after surgery is hit and miss as to what my vision will be like. He told me the third day though I will wake up and exclaim oh s*** because my vision will be very blurry because of the way the cells grow back as I heal. Fun - what a nice weekend. It will definitely be worth it in the end.

Are you taking any time off?? They would have to give me valium because I blink alot and would freak out when the pry my eye open. Have you ever seen lasik performed?? I give ya credit you've got moxy...yet we knew that HAHAHA
Does your insurance cover alot? Mine only covers 15% and we have additional discounts.
I am taking next Thursday and Friday off, though I plan on working from home if I can see enough to read the computer and blackberry.
Nope - my insurance does give a discount but not for this particular provider. I am using ,y flexible spending acct to pay for it.
