Rent!
I saw the touring production of Rent this evening. I have seen the show in New York as well as the movie but I enjoyed seeing it this time as much as I did the first time! Only one disappointment - the two actors that played Mark and Roger left a little to be desired. I can't remember if I have made this comment before but as I was a music major - it is hard for me to enjoy a show like the majority of the population. I instinctively judge the performances rather than sit back and enjoy. On the flip side of the coin, I have the privilege to really enjoy the performances of some really talented actors. The actors who portrayed Angel and Maureen were very good. The actress who portrayed Mimi - stole the show - man she was good.It was a great show! I am so glad to be somewhere that provides access to these types of performances - right down the road from my house. How awesome is that!
